Legislative history: Florida has come closer than any other non-member state. HB 13 passed the full House 115-0 on Feb 25, 2026, then died in the Senate Rules Committee on Mar 13, 2026 — its 2025 predecessor (CS/HB 27) had also passed the House 111-0 before dying in the Senate. No compact bill is currently active; the next opportunity is the 2027 session.
